The 8 Chicago Companies to Watch at CES 2016

This Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas has consistently been a spotlight for rising and innovative technology. In CES 2016, there was a variety of successful and growing business from the Chicago area presenting and competing. William Flanagan of ChicagoInno listed ConnectSense as one of the top 8 companies from the Chicago are at CES 2016. ConnectSense was exhibiting at CES’ Smart Home Marketplace. ConnectSense showcased the new Smart Outlet device, which allows for total control over your home devices. In addition to the Smart Outlet, a variety of wireless sensors that monitor the conditions of your home were showcased as well. The ConnectSense panel was a “must see” at CES 2016.

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which kicks off on Wednesday in Las Vegas, is the first major tech event of the new year.

Given the size and scope of CES, it's no surprise that a number of Chicago companies and entrepreneurs will be exhibiting, competing, presenting, and speaking at the conference, not to mention shaping and influencing the trends and topics that will define this year's event.

#50onFire: The 18 People and Companies Heating Up B2C Tech in Chicago

This week Chicago Inno announced the 150 nominees for 50 on Fire, Chicago Inno's winter awards event. The nominees represent the people and companies that are making moves in Chicago's tech scene across several industries, including B2B tech; B2C tech; education; marketing and advertising; civic; investment; health and medicine; food, dining and delivery; and lifestyle, fashion and fitness.

To give you a closer look at the nominees, Chicago Inno wanted to highlight the contestants in each sector to show you how they are heating up Chicago's tech scene. (A group of judges will determine the 50 winners). Over the next couple of weeks we'll be publishing deep dives into the different sectors, starting now with B2C tech.
